The back story

I’m running for the Aledo ISD school board because I’ve heard the deep frustrations, sorrows, and feelings of helplessness from my friends, neighbors, and community members when they’ve turned to the current administration with their concerns. The stories these families have shared are heartbreaking. I believe I’m a good listener, and over time, people have felt comfortable coming to me with their concerns. So I listened, and I became curious, asking more questions.
When I heard about the ongoing challenges in special education and saw the growing number of teachers leaving the district, I felt compelled to dig deeper and ask even more questions. What I discovered is that many of these voices – both parents and teachers – have been ignored, overlooked, or even silenced. The lack of transparency in our district is alarming, and it’s time for a change.
I’m committed to bringing accountability, transparency, and real solutions to the table. Our families and educators deserve better.
